Equal opportunities

The Equal Opportunities Officer is the point of contact for non-academic staff at the university.

The new Equal Opportunities Act is intended to help put women and men on an equal footing in the public sector and, in particular, to get more women into management positions. It came into force on February 27, 2016 and replaces the previous Equal Opportunities Act from 2005.

With the new "Act on the Realization of Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the Civil Service in Baden-Württemberg", the state government aims to specifically promote the professional advancement of women in the administration and improve the compatibility of family, care and career.

The task of the Equal Opportunities Officer is to ensure compliance with and implementation of the Equal Opportunities Act and other regulations on the equal treatment of women and men and to support the department in its implementation. She reports to the department management and supports them in implementing the equal opportunities plan.
