From November 18 to 22, RWU invited representatives of its international partner universities to Weingarten for a Staff Training Week. Guests from Ireland, Poland, France, Italy and Thailand came to the Upper Swabian campus, most of whom work in administration at their universities. The aim of such a staff week is to get to know each other and exchange best practice.

In addition to a campus tour and workshops with the guests, the week was packed with other international-themed events. The International Day took place on Monday, where our international students offered delicacies from their home countries for tasting during the lunch break.

Wednesday was all about France. On this day, the traveling exhibition "A la francaise" was opened by high-ranking guests. In his speech, Mr. Gaël de Maisonneuve, French Consul General, mentioned the importance of German-French cooperation, which is stimulated by the support of the ERASMUS program. Dr. Emmanuel Delille, Attaché for Science and University Cooperation for Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, and Gabriel Lepage from Campus France were also welcomed to the event. After the opening, the numerous guests were able to view the exhibition, which shows pictures of former German students who spent a semester abroad in France and depict "their" France in the pictures. The evening ended with the French film "The Brilliant Mademoiselle Neïla".

On Thursday, RWU students had the opportunity to find out more about the partner universities and external exchange organizations as well as ways to finance a stay abroad at the Go-Out-Day. All in all, Staff Week was an intensive time that led to many new ideas and exchange situations.
