How do newly installed vehicle parts affect the performance of a car? To find out, Johannes Burkhart visited the dynamometer in the Automotive Engineering and Mechatronics Laboratory at RWU. A YouTuber documented the project.
Johannes Burkhart founded the company Burkhart Engineering with partners and is responsible for the areas of development and engineering. The company has been developing cost-effective alternatives to expensive original spare parts since 2017. The focus is on making individual components available in order to avoid having to replace entire systems.
"I have very fond memories of my time at the university - especially because of the practical relevance, the direct interaction with lecturers and the exciting projects," recalls the RWU alumnus. Even after his studies, he remained in contact with the university because the contact was uncomplicated and the professional exchange was always enriching.
You can see whether the performance of the converted vehicle has improved in a YouTube post on the "Fahr doch" channel.
