Weingarten - Card games, exploration games, role-playing games, computer games, construction games, fantasy games, video games - the list could go on and on. Games have always been a part of our culture. In recent decades, digital games in particular have experienced a rapid rise, influencing music, fashion, and narrative forms.

In the Mittwochseminar on March 22 at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU), Michael Hebel, Professor of Game Art and Design, will provide a comprehensive insight into the world of games. In addition to the development of games as a medium as well as the games industry and the associated job market, Michael Hebel will address technological and media-theoretical, sociological as well as pedagogical perspectives.

Nowadays, games are not only used for entertainment. With their manifold and interdisciplinary perspectives and their mutual relationship they are also the subject of research, the Games Studies.
