On Friday, June 14, 2024, numerous guests gathered in the main building of RWU for the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Many graduates were on hand with friends and family to receive their degree certificates and prizes.

In total, more than 50 graduates completed their Bachelor's or Master's degree at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Paula Stützenberger provided the musical accompaniment to the event with piano and vocals. Prorector Prof. Dr. Heidi Reichle and the Dean of Faculty M, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Glogowski, welcomed the guests. Both found fitting words to congratulate the graduates. Heidi Reichle stated: "The secret of ability is the will". Thomas Glogowski hopes that the former students will continue to have an instructive future. "It's about trying, experimenting, taking your time and sometimes failing. Be a creative designer of your future".

Awards and prizes

Following the welcome address, a number of awards were presented and the winners were recognized. Jonas Pfeiffer won the prize of the Förderverein der Hochschule Ravensburg Weingarten, which was presented to him by Professor Dr. Wolfgang Engelhardt, Head of Mechanical Engineering. Lukas König and Michael Dehner, both part of the Energy and Environmental Engineering course, also received awards. Lukas König was honored by the Association of German Engineers and Michael Dehner received the TWS Energy Award. The laudators were guests Prof. Dr. Harald Ludanek from VDI Bodensee and Helmut Hertle from TWS-Netz GmbH in Ravensburg.
