On March 27, 2025, 30 students from various fields of study took the opportunity to get to know Carthago Motorhome Construction in Aulendorf at first hand and find out about exciting career prospects.

The meeting point for the event was the factory outlet, where the students had the opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the various motorhome and van models of the two brands Carthago and Malibu. Alexander Wehrmann, Head of Marketing, opened the event with an exciting introductory presentation in which he gave the students a comprehensive insight into the company. He presented the corporate philosophy and the various production sites and answered the numerous questions from the interested students.

Following the presentation, Wehrmann gave the floor to Dominik Adler, an RWU alumnus from the Business Informatics department, who is now part of the Carthago team. Dominik talked about his personal career and how he found his way from university into professional practice. This perspective was particularly relevant for the students.

Exclusive factory tour

Following the presentations, the students were taken on an exclusive tour of the plant. The participants were divided into two groups in order to provide the most personal and detailed tour of the production facility possible. Equipped with headphones, all students were able to follow the tour without any problems and received all the important information about the production of the motorhomes - from the first screw to the finished product. The students were able to see that Carthago builds its motorhomes from the inside out. This special construction method makes it possible to carry out subsequent repairs quickly and easily, such as the simple replacement of a side wall. The tour not only gave the students a deep insight into the production process, but also into the innovative technology and the precision with which every motorhome is created at Carthago.

Networking and exchange

After the factory tour, the students went to the Carthagusto, the company's own canteen, where they had the opportunity to talk to HR staff, Talent Management and former RWU students in a relaxed atmosphere. In an informal exchange, they reported on their own experiences and provided valuable insights into the various career paths that the company offers its employees.
