The Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing has honored and given farewell to its graduates. 71 students in the Applied Psychology, Health Economics, Nursing and Social Work degree programs received their bachelor's certificates. There were a total of seven graduates from the master's degree courses in Applied Health Science and Social Work & Participation.
"Most of you started your studies during the coronavirus pandemic and you have still arrived here. You can be very proud of this and we congratulate you warmly," said the Dean, Professor Dr. Jörg Wendorff, in his welcoming address.
Recognition for outstanding work
In addition to the degree certificates, prizes were also awarded. The award from the city of Weingarten went to Karoline Schäfer from the master's degree course in Applied Health Sciences. The title of her thesis is "Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) in outpatient rehabilitation. A mixed-methods analysis of the challenges of routine surveys." The prize was presented by the Lord Mayor in person. "I am delighted to present this award for outstanding work," said Clemens Moll.
The prize from the city of Ravensburg went to Tamara Rink (Social Work). The topic of her thesis was "Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) - one sip, one risk! The connection between FASD and the development of executive functions and the possibilities of socio-educational family assistance for interfamilial support".
Hannah Hoyer (Social Work) received the Ravensburg district prize for her work "Reasons for the non-utilization of prevention and support services by single mothers in the Ravensburg district".
The student council was responsible for the catering on the festive evening. Alissa Niederbörker and Paula Stützenberger provided the musical accompaniment.
