Weingarten - Under the title "Shaping the Future Together - In Conversation with Generation Z", the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) invites you to the next event in the Early Night Social Talk series. In a conversation between the generations, the wishes and motivations of "Gen Z" will be highlighted and discussed.

The term "Gen Z" encompasses the demographic group born between the mid-1990s and early 2010s whose members are currently in their teens to young adulthood. The generation is characterized by versatile use of digital technologies, the great importance of social media and the desire for equality as well as social diversity. Many of the young people are concerned about climate change and its impact on the environment as well as the future of humanity.

With their strong presence on social media and their ability to spread information quickly, Gen Z therefore plays an important role in mobilizing people for climate action. Commitment to equality and appreciation of diversity also distinguish this generation. Buzzwords such as pragmatism, activism and flexibility are also frequently associated with Gen Z.

First, research findings on Generation Z will be presented at the Early Night Social Talk on Tuesday, May 16, starting at 6 p.m.. But do these actually correspond to the real life and thinking of the young generation? Professor Dr. Jörg Wendorff will discuss this afterwards with Charlie Kiehne and Kenny Nißel.

The Gen Z representative will present their perspectives on today's world and talk about options for the future. A central question will be: How can we all work together to master the great challenges of our time? And what can the different generations learn from each other in the process?
